Our Careers

We strive to prepare our students to be active learners through our inclusive, skills and knowledge- rich curriculum. In partnership with our community, we share the goal to create learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. Our students aspire to become responsible, respectful and valued members of the community who are ready to meet the challenges of the future with empathy.

Our values are reflected throughout the school community

·        To provide a broad, balanced, and impartial education in careers and post-16 understanding so that students have the knowledge to make informed and ambitious decisions about their future pathways.

·        To embed into the curriculum, opportunities for students to develop and use employability skills that will allow them the flourish in the world of work.

·        To make links between subject areas and careers education to ensure that students see how their academic studies can link to future study and employment.

·        Develop students as reflective individuals who are able to plan their own path by understanding their own personal qualities and goals.

·        To give students the opportunity to develop their cultural capital through careers activities and events that broaden their horizons.

·        To provide a comprehensive and accessible careers provision which supports the needs of all students.

·        To equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to be fully prepared for their next stage of education whether they choose to go on to university, college, apprenticeship, training or employment.
