Geography
Our department views every student as a budding geographer and a responsible global citizen. Our curriculum is designed to nurture students into knowledgeable and respectful individuals who understand and appreciate both their immediate environment and the wider world.
Geography uniquely bridges the gap between the Arts and the Sciences, making it an excellent complement to almost all other subjects. This interdisciplinary approach opens up a vast array of career and higher education opportunities for our students, including fields such as town and community planning, surveying, environmental consultation, market research, and tourism
Geography is a vital and compulsory subject for all students from Year 7 to Year 9, providing them with a solid foundation in understanding the world around them. As they progress, students have the opportunity to deepen their geographical knowledge in Year 10 and Year 11, choosing Geography as one of their GCSE options.
