Student Leadership
Student Leaders
As a school, we place great emphasis on students contributing to the school and wider community in a positive way. Additionally, students are taught throughout their time here to develop the skills being identified by employers as essential for success. One of the main ways we encourage this is through the Student Leadership route. Our students have a plethora of different roles they can fulfil during their time in school, some of which are listed below:
-
Sports Leaders
-
Wellbeing Mentors
-
Reading Mentors
-
House Captains
-
Sport Captains
-
Library Leads
-
Prefects
-
Senior Prefects
-
Head Students
-
School Council
-
Tour guides
and many more besides.
All the roles have specific associated training as well as following either a voting process for School Council, a nomination/volunteering process for aspects like Tour Guides, Library Leads and Reading mentors or, a full application and interview process for roles such as Head Student and Senior Prefects. Our Leaders all have a direct impact on our school life and their input is valued by the school, interviews for staff, visits from dignitaries or the Trust, all include input from our Student Leadership.
For those planning to apply, see the attached presentation to ensure the role is right for you.
