The Trust

Sapientia Education Trust (SET) currently consists of 20 schools located in Norfolk and Suffolk.  The term Sapientia means wisdom and comes from the motto of our founding School Wymondham College.

Our pupils are at the centre of all of our work, our schools encourage curiosity, discussion, debate and provide a wide range of learning opportunities. Our Trust works to enhance the quality of education that is provided in our schools.  The impact of our work can be measured in many ways, for example outcomes in our secondary schools are 'above average' for progress in GCSE league tables, our A Level outcomes are above national averages and our Primary Key Stage 2 outcomes have risen significantly and are above local averages. We believe that schools are individual and we promote autonomy within a framework of common values.

We have a range of professional networks that support school improvement and enable us to fulfil our vision of delivering 'a world class education' locally.  We are proud that our schools deliver strong extra-curricular programmes and offer high quality pastoral support. Our schools are varied in composition ranging from a number of small rural primary schools through to much larger secondary schools, and we also run two state boarding schools.  This reflects the diversity of educational provision in our region.

As one of the highest performing Trusts regionally, we invest in developing our staff teams, our school facilities and enriching the lives of our seven thousand pupils.
